Some people love the hot weather, whilst others love skiing in sub-zero temperatures. But if you prefer somewhere comfortable that will enable you to explore in glorious weather without it being too hot then Barcelona may prove the ideal destination.

This wonderful city in Spain enjoys temperatures between five and twenty eight degrees Celcius, making it ideal to visit at any time of the year. And as always in any major city that you visit, you will find that there are some attractions you simply cannot afford to miss.

First on your list in this department has to be the Park Guell. This was designed by Antoni Gaudi and named after Count Eusebi Guell. In fact, Gaudi designed many pieces of architecture which can be seen in Barcelona today. This particular park is quite unlike anything else you will have seen - it has mosaics, stone features and sweeping stairs which define the entrance and cannot be missed.

Elsewhere in Barcelona there is plenty more for you to do as well. For example, why not see the city in a totally different way by hopping on a scooter? You have two options here; you can either hire out a scooter for a few hours on your own or follow a guided tour. This second option is by far the best as you will have a guide with you and you will be taken to all the best sights in the city, including the Park Guell.

If all that seems rather too much activity for you, don't worry. You will have plenty of opportunities to rest your weary feet and sample some of the delights to be found in Barcelona's many restaurants. Con Gracia is a popular venue which serves tapas, while Shunka is ideal for a taste of Japanese food. Whatever you fancy a bite of, you are sure to find something just right among the dozens of restaurants all over the city.

After you have built up your strength once more you must make time to visit one of the most famous museums in all of Barcelona. This is the Museu Picasso, which as you might guess is a museum delving into the life and work of Pablo Picasso. While the talented Picasso may not have painted the beautiful skylines that you can so clearly see during the flights to Barcelona, you cannot hope to see more of the artist's work than you will by visiting this amazing museum.

Therefore, make sure you check out the various options you have for accommodation in the area, and pick something that is ideal as a centrally located base to all of the attractions that are available in Barcelona. No matter where you stay or how long you are there for, you will find that there is so much to do in the city; and no doubt you will be back again before too long to see even more.
