Despite the doom and gloom in the news, the Christmas party season is fast approaching and plans are still going ahead with even more determination to lift the spirits of staff.
Christmas in the Lake District has been a popular choice for couples and families for some years now. Escaping from all the expense and stress of organising presents and the Christmas lunch. The beautiful scenery is so enticing in the winter months and the festive season. Now the Lake District is being a hot spot for company Christmas parties. Many Lake District hotels have spiced up their 2008 Christmas Party programme by providing alternative party themes as well as their traditional Christmas party nights enjoyed by many. With a choice of themes to suit a range of pockets, many Lake District hotels are introducing theme nights such as Elvis Tribute Nights, Las Vegas Casino Nights as well as a Fajitas and Margaritas Party food themes.
This refreshing approach has been welcomed by groups and companies in the Cumbria region but also further afield who are determined to ensure spirits remain high this Christmas and they are already booking their parties. Sometimes company Christmas party celebrations are combined with team building events and of course, due to the nature of the Lake District, it is the perfect place for both. Companies still want to celebrate, but they are looking for something different and something flexible enough to fit their budgets. This is why the hotels in the Lake District are creating packages from just the themed drinks and food right through to full provided on site entertainment and events.
Elvis is a popular choice for a themed party night at Christmas due to his dozen or more Christmas albums. An Elvis theme night can be based on each attendee dressing up as the man himself or as a tribute night with an impersonator. Activities can also give a twist to a party. For example, casino nights can be organised where a company will come in and deck the room out in the style of a casino with the tables etc.
As an added bonus to having a Christmas party in the Lake District, a selection of hotels in the Lake District offer discounted room rates for party guests. This is a very enticing prospect as even though a Christmas party is a must for a staff, costs do need to be kept as low as possible in the current economic climate.
